...more Renegade Review

As promised, more fun finds from the Holiday Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco last weekend.

First off, a shop from Rae Dunn, a local artist based out of San Francisco.  Rae has a line of creative clay objects - everything from bowls for your four-legged friends, small dishes for wedding rings, ornaments, plaques, napkin rings and more.

Rae Dunn - Love Nest

I love the handmade charm of each individual piece so you know that your piece was lovingly made just for you.  Visit her etsy store to get your piece made by Rae herself.  You can also find her line of products on various websites like www.puremodern.com.   I think the "Love Nest" would make a fun little gift for a young newlywed couple buying their first home.

For the young families in your life, what could be a more exciting gift to share than this incredible needle felted Wool Buddy?

Jackie Huang is another talented artist based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.  These photos alone do not do justice to the amazing work created by WoolBuddy.  If this gets you excited at all, you must visit Jackie's blog at http://woolbuddy.com/blog/ to see more.

Showcased at the fair this weekend were animals varying in size from small, key chain scale critters to giraffes nearly 4 feet tall.  The owls seemed to be especially popular, but the line also includes dragons and fish to remind you of the imaginary worlds of animated films like Finding Nemo and Ice Age.  I was awestruck by the complexity and detail of each buddy.  They strike a perfect blend of weird and lovable at the same time, and doesn't the world need more weird, lovable creatures?

Can't get enough Renegade Crafts?  Here is the link to see ALL of the artists that were featured at the fair.
